The Competition

Competition format

The competition starts on January 1, 2022 and consists of 5 rounds of online sim racing on the RaceRoom sim racing platform.
In The Grand Final weekend in May, the top 16 boys and 16 girls after 5 rounds will be invited to race in a live knock-out final in professional racing simulators to decide which boy and girl will be crowned the ROKiT – Racing Stars of 2022 and win the grand prize.

Five rounds of sim racing

Qualify & Race

5 rounds of online racing on legendary tracks from January to April.

Participation is free, as is the RaceRoom sim platform, the car and tracks.

2-WEEKS TO QUALIFY FOR THE LIVE RACES
For each round, you have 2 weeks to qualify for the live races on RaceRoom.
The 20 boys and girls with the fastest qualifying lap times will receive an e-mail invitation to race for competition points in separate boy / girl live online races.

FORMAT LIVE ONLINE RACES*
• Free practice: 10 minutes
• Qualification for grid position: 15 minutes
• Race: 30 minutes

Race in as many races as possible and collect valuable points! Only the top 16 boy and 16 girl drivers after 5 rounds will be invited to The Grand Final.

*Live multiplayer races will be broadcasted with professional commentary via live streams.

The Grand Final

Which boy and girl become the next Racing Stars?

Based on the results of the points ranking after 5 rounds, the top 16 boys and 16 girl drivers will be invited to the Grand Final at the University of Bolton’s “National Centre for Motorsport Engineering auditorium” on 14 and 15 May where they will race in a knock out final driving professional Racing Unleashed racing simulators to decide who will become the two ROKiT – Racing Stars of 2022*.

The boy and girl winner will be awarded professional driver training and have a chance to become a Formula 4 driver and race in the 2023 British F4 Championship.

* Accommodation for the finalists will be arranged.
* The races in the final are on Assetto Corsa.

Points & standings

Competition leaderboard

Competitors that qualify for the live online races will be awarded points, based on their race performance on RaceRoom.
These points will determine competitors’ positions in the rankings, which will be updated on RaceRoom’s competition leaderboard at the end of every round.
Point scoring is in accordance with the global Formula 4 series standards.

To keep the competition exciting till the end, the final score will be tallied from the best 3 rounds out of the total (with half numbers rounded up).

FINAL SCORE TIES
If two or more competitors have an equal number of points at the end of the competition, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:

A. The competitor with the highest points across all 5 rounds; and
B. If still tied, the best race results; and
C. If still tied, the best lap times for each race between the two drivers

RESERVE DRIVERS
If e-mail invitations are not accepted (on time) or you do not meet the requirements, RaceRoom will invite reserve drivers for the race rounds and the final.

Rules & Regulations

We support fair racing

We support fair racing and take rules seriously.
By participating in the ROKiT – Racing Star competition you agree to the rules as stated in our competition rule book.

Rule violations and fraudulent activities
Unauthorized activity will be detected by our stewards.

To ensure a fair competition for all contestants, we reserve the right to investigate suspicious activity.
If a participant is found to have broken the rules or participated in fraudulent activities, they may be disqualified or subject to other sanctions.
